Window of Opportunity

Personal note:

“Window of Opportunity” was written by John &  Nienke Geuzinge-Havinga,
and it tells my story.

They wrote it about my journey — and for me —
after witnessing it from up close.

It began in a small room…
in a season where my world had become very small,
confined to a bed, with more questions than answers.

And slowly, something began to shift.

Step by step, new opportunities started to appear —
and I chose to take them, even when it felt uncertain.

This song reflects that process.
From a place of limitation…
to a place of possibility.

Until one day, I realized…
I wasn’t just holding on anymore.

I was spreading my wings.
And learning to fly.

In a world that felt so small

I wandered through the halls,

Searching for a sign

A chance to redefine

And then You came into my life

Cut through the dark like a knife

And there You opened up a window just for me

Your kindness was the key

Unlocking dreams inside of me

With every word You said

You lifted shadows from my head

Now i’m reaching for  the skies

With hope that never dies

Grateful for the gift You gave

And You taught me how to  be brave

You opened up a window let the light shine in and gave me strength to start again

Through Your eyes i learned to see

A future bright and full of possibilities

With love i found my way

A brand new start, a brighter day

I was standing at the edge

Afraid to take the flight not ready

Ready for the fall,

Longing for the height but your words gave me wings

You taught me how to fly

Your courage set me free

And You showed me how to be  the one i was meant tob e

You opened up a window let the light shine in and gave me strength to start again

Through Your eyes i learned to see

A future bright and full of possibilities

With love i found my way

A brand new start, a brighter day

In the silence, You are a song

Leading me to where i belong

With every step, You’re by my side

I learn to confide

You opened up a window let the light shine in and gave me strength to start again

Through Your eyes i learned to see

A future bright and full of possibilities

You’ve opened up a window just for me

And now i’m free.
